Tax Rates From 1975 through 2008
The consolidated government of Nashville and Davidson County has two (2) taxing districts. The first is the General Services District, or GSD, which covers the entire County. The second district is the Urban Services District, or USD, which is an area that receives more services and, therefore, an additional tax rate is applied to the basic GSD rate. The County Trustee bills for these property taxes.
There are three (3) additional small cities or towns within which some Davidson County taxpayers' properties may be located and, therefore, subject to additional taxes. These cities and towns vote their own tax rates and collect these taxes separately from County taxes collected by the County Trustee.
The 2008 tax rates for these cities are shown below:

The last day to pay all property taxes to any city or Davidson County without penalty and interest is on 2/28 of the year following the tax year.
