The legislative body of each local government is responsible for voting on the tax rates.  For Nashville and Davidson County the Metropolitan Council meets each year to review the tax rate and make increases if necessary.  The smaller municipalities located within Davidson County also vote on the tax rates applicable to properties within their jurisdictions.  Following are links which will tell you who these legislative people are and how you may reach them if you wish to comment on property tax rates.
